On Sunday 14th September, Essex hosted the 2014 ECBA Open Triples.

The event was won by Tom Runnacles, Clint Watling and Sam Runnacles from Suffolk, while the runners-up were Stephen, Peter & Doris Frost from Norfolk.

The trophies were presented by Tommy Dahlgren of Bowls Sweden who is an adviser to the Norway Carpet Bowls coordinators who visited the event as they begin to promote Carpet Bowls in Norway.
