2009 BEDFORDSHIRE PAIRS
There was a turnout of thirty entries for
the Bedfordshire Pairs competition held at the Putteridge Recreation
centre in Luton.
There were some close matches and a good
standard of carpet bowling throughout the day culminating in
victory for Pat and Harold Ball with a 10-6 victory over Betty
Sharp and Ann Hatton.
The Lilley pair, who were runners-up, reached
the final after defeating club team mates Michael Cooper and
Sharon Hatton in the semi-finals.
Harold Ball continued his successful season
after already capturing the Bedfordshire Singles in late 2008
to ensure another trophy for the Colmworth club.
